Project Description

Here sets an educational facility for our young that exemplifies masonry in the same manner we want our children educated; outstanding manner! The architect used a design using several different materials when blended together will enable this building to have long lasting beauty. As with most projects, there were some challenging issues. The one that stands out was defected special shape brick. In quick fashion they had to be replaced by using prairie stone and cast stone that replaced all the special shapes. The job also included 128,000 utility brick and 39,000 CMU. The crisp lines, the insets, a herringbone pattern, all blended together to establish strength and a sustainable future structure for our children to learn and grow up to help us all become better! Then you have the arched windows and entries to give it a look of the past which once again establishes the sustainable use of masonry. With all of that said, the most important thing it gives a welcoming look that we enjoy sending our young people to.

Date of Project Completion: October 2011
